EXPLORATION MANAGER JOINS AS SENIOR GEOLOGIST

From Ashanti To Tertiary
Aim-listed
Tertiary Minerals, which is actively exploring nine mineral properties
in Scandinavia, has appointed Mr Hugh Stuart as Senior Geologist.
Mr Stuart joins the Cheshire-based company from Ashanti Goldfields
where he was exploration manager for the Geita Project in Tanzania
from initial exploration into production. During this time 10m ounces
of gold resources were established in three deposits at Geita where
mining started in June last year. In particular Mr Stuart was instrumental
in the discovery of the 7.5m ounce Nyankanga orebody. The Geita
mine, now jointly owned by Ashanti and AngloGold, produced more
than 176,000 ounces of gold during its first six months.
Mr Stuart, 36, graduated as a geologist from University of Manchester
and then gained an MSc Mineral Exploration from University of Leicester.
